Rising Tide at Clahane

This painting was inspired by standing on the rocky shore at Clahane watching the tide roll in. 'Rising Tide at Clahane' captures the feeling of space and the wildness of the Wild Atlantic Way in Co. Clare - where the vast expanse of ocean meets the rugged land. Painted primarily with a palette knife, I aimed to convey the spirit and feeling of this magical place. You can almost feel like you're standing on the shore with the texture on the rocks. There is great movement in the piece with the crashing waves, sure to bring energy and life to any room.
